Volcano discovered under fastest-melting Antarctic glacier
Antarctica’s Pine Island Glacier is melting, thanks to warming waters from below. What’s more, a recent study has discovered a volcano beneath the glacier.

Tonight … Moon, Spica, Jupiter
Jupiter is near Libra's alpha star - Zubenelgenubi - right now. In fact, if you have binoculars, you can see Jupiter and Zubenelgenubi in the same binocular field. Look closely at this star. Through binoculars, you can view Zubenelgenubi as double: 2 stars in one!
Meteor, Mars and Milky Way
The night sky over South Korea's Mount Seoraksan. Just before midnight on Saturday, Kang Min Lee captured the Milky Way, bright planet Mars, and even a meteor! This photo's got it all! Now is a great time to see Mars.
