Summer 2019 hottest on record for Northern Hemisphere With the UN's Climate Action Summit set for Monday - and youth-led demonstrations going on around the world, urging leaders to address climate change - the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has just released one of its periodic statements on global climate. Not surprisingly, considering the trend of recent years, the key word is hot. June through August 2019 was the Northern Hemisphere’s hottest summer on record, tied with 2016. But a Navy spokesperson says the clips show “unexplained aerial phenomena,” which is not the same as saying they’re piloted by aliens.
