Scientists 1st observed gravitational waves from merging black holes. Now they're targeting a different gravitational wave signal: a long continuous waveform from a rapidly spinning neutron star.
Watch for gorgeous pairings of the moon and Venus this week. Look west shortly after the sun goes down. Also notice the star Aldebaran, in the constellation Taurus the Bull. From the right spot on Earth, the moon will cover Aldebaran. Click here for details on the occultation.
