Astronomers used the ALMA telescope to observe a slow outflow and a high-speed jet from a newly forming star. These 2 streams appear misaligned and were apparently launched from different parts of the star-forming disk. Read more.

Tonight ... Moon near Aldebaran and Pleiades

The moon has waxed larger and is higher in the west after sunset. Watch for it this evening near the red star Aldebaran and the famous Pleiades star cluster, also known as the Seven Sisters. Read more.
