The craft that flew by Pluto in 2015 is heading for a Kuiper Belt object currently designated 2014 MU69. The mission team wants you to help nickname it.
Have you seen Jupiter yet? We're hearing from a few people who have. Bright Jupiter will emerge from the dawn glare to meet even brighter Venus on November 13.
They'll be close from moonrise on, and highest in the sky on Saturday morning. In the coming mornings, watch the moon edge toward Venus and Jupiter before dawn.
Not shown on this chart … If you see them around dawn, notice the lighted face of the moon points toward 2 bright objects near the sunrise. Brighter one is Venus. Fainter one (but still bright) is Jupiter.
