Here's how black holes bring white dwarfs back to life
In some cases, a dead star might be reignited. That's the finding of a new study showing what happens when a star or other object passes too close to a black hole. The study suggests a way in which a black hole can bring a white dwarf star – the now-dead core of a once-sunlike star – back to life, fleetingly. Read more.
