By studying the magnetic record left behind in earthly rocks, researchers found a magnetic field reversal - where magnetic north became magnetic south - lasting only 2 centuries.
Mars will stay super bright through the end of August. One month from now, in September, Mars will be about half as bright as it is now. Two months from now, in October, Mars will be about one quarter of its present brightness.
