Brilliant Venus is low in the west in evening twilight now, a wonderful sight to see. Thursday evening, a vastly fainter planet, Uranus, is in conjunction with Venus on our sky's dome.
Photographer Amanda Cross wrote, “I wanted to compare the colors of different stars next to each other. These are stacks of Rigel, Betelgeuse and Sirius. I took individual images 60 seconds apart and presented them together.”
