Leonid meteors peak next 2 mornings

Platform reflecting
At first this looks like a cube floating in space ... but look again. It’s a wooden platform with great blue heron perched on the corner, reflecting in the glassy water. John Entwistle captured this image on a foggy morning last week at the Manasquan Reservoir, New Jersey.

Leonid meteors peak next 2 mornings
Leonid meteors are few and far between in the evening because their radiant point - in the constellation Leo the Lion - is below the horizon then. Instead, watch for them between midnight and dawn.
